Chic Gamine

Chic Gamine, a vocal supergroup from Winnipeg’s French community, has been singing together since 1999. This self-proclaimed un-choir, blends bewitching melodies and harmonies with pulsing instrumental and vocal percussion, bringing the power of the voice to the forefront. Chic Gamine travels from Brazilian Samba, to Southern Soul, and home to French-Canadian folk, showcasing original compositions along the way. Penderecki String Quartet

The Penderecki String Quartet was formed in 1986 and has become one of the most celebrated chamber ensembles of their generation, recently performing throughout North America as well as international festivals throughout Europe and Asia. The PSQ champions a wide range of repertoire from Haydn to Zappa, premiering over 100 new works to date. Described by Fanfare Magazine as "an ensemble of formidable power and keen musical sensitivity” they are now entering their 15th year as Quartet-in-Residence at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo.
