| JURIED SHOWCASE SELECTION PROCESS | |
| | - Juried Showcase Application forms are posted online in mid-January each year. The deadline to apply is the end of March.
- An artist selection committee reviews all the applications.
- Using the criteria outlined below, the selection committee makes recommendations on which artists should be showcased.
- The committee is made up of touring artists, knowledgeable representatives of professional and volunteer presenting organizations from the adult and/or young audience sector, and Ontario Contact staff.
- Applicants are notified of the results by email no later than June 1st each year.

| Criteria for showcasing: - Excellence or artistic merit is the principal criterion.
- Showcase artists must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

| Other factors which will influence the selection: - The organization’s touring experience and the ability to market a tour.
- Organizations or artists who have the experience and willingness to develop audiences in communities through programs such as residencies, workshops, etc.
- Diversity of art forms and styles that meet different audience needs.
- Preference will be given to artists who have not showcased at Ontario Contact in recent years.

| Programming Showcases: Programming decisions are based on meeting the criteria, type of programming, technical requirements and overall balance in programming.

| Showcase Guidelines: - Showcases are 15 - 20 minutes long and must represent what is being offered on tour.
- Technical support will be provided at the venue.
- The artist must supply specialty technical equipment.
- A list of technical equipment available will be sent to artists selected to showcase.
- A grand piano will be available.
